Who is
eligible to participate?
Any company, institution,
initiative within the parameters
of the award categories is
eligible to participate,
provided the participating
entity is registered and based
in Qatar, and that the relevant
activity/initiative contributes
directly to the greening of
Qatar.
How do I apply?
All applicants must complete the
Nomination Form online and
submit before the closing date.
Once your application form is
received an acknowledgement
email will be sent to you by the
QTGA Team, confirming the same
and sending you a reference no
of your application which should
be quoted in all communications
when needed.
Is the registration form
available in languages other
than English?
Currently we are able to process
nominations in English alone
What is the closing date for
submitting a nomination?
Nominations for the Qatar Today
Green Awards 2011 close on
15th
March 2012.
When will I know if my
nomination has been
short-listed?
All short listed applicants will
be notified as soon as the
selection process is completed
via email.
If my project is short listed,
what happens next?
Applicants will be asked to
furnish additional (if required
only) information on their
project/initiative before the
30th
March 2012.
What are the benefits of winning
a Green Award?
There are many benefits of
winning a Green Award - for the
winner and others. In addition
to public recognition and
publicity so others can learn
from and be inspired by the
initiative, winners in each
category will;
• Receive an award at the Qatar
Today Green Awards ceremony.
• Be profiled on the QT Green
Awards website.
• Be profiled on all
publications of Oryx Media
Services WLL - Qatar Today,
Qatar Al Yom, Woman Today and
Glam magazines
Can I compete in more than one
category?
Yes, only so far as each
project/initiative adheres to
the award/category requirements
and does not duplicate any
aspect of the other entry. The
same initiative cannot be
nominate for more than one
Category.
What are the criteria on which a
nomination is judged?
All nominations are judged
according to a pre-determined
criteria set by the panel of
Judges.
What is the Evaluation process?
Step 1 - The Panel of Judges
reviews all entries received
under each category. They
recommend and nominate finalists
for each category, based on
respective criteria recommended
by the judges.
Step 2 - In the event that, more
information is required to
evaluate a nomination; the panel
of judges through the QTGA team
will request the nominees to
furnish further information.
Step 3 - The short listed
nominees will be asked to make
an 8-10 minute presentation on
its submission (on a given
date/time) by the panel of
judges.
Step 4 - The penal of judges
will request and conduct a site
visit to gather more information
on the project/initiative
submitted by the nominee. The
panel of judges will require all
support and assistance from the
Nominee in this respect. The
date and time of the visit will
be communicated in advance.
Step 5 - All final nominations
and scores will then be reviewed
by the panel of judges and
submitted to KPMG for an
independent audit.
Step 6 - The final audited
scores will be the base on which
the panel of judges will select
the winner for each category.
